Characteristics of cut wire
- It comes from wire cut to a constant diameter — which is where its cylindrical shape comes from.
- At first it is particularly sharp, then it rounds off; this is why its durability is similar to that of steel shot.
- Little wear on the blasting machine's components.
- After a few impacts, the surface it leaves is very white (milky).
- Ideal for cleaning car wheel rims, starter motors and alternators, and cast components, because of the white colour it leaves on the surface.
- It is used mainly in centrifugal wheel blasting machines and in blasting rooms with pressure blast pots.
- Combined with its fast cleaning, it is rightly considered a very effective blasting abrasive.
- Highly durable, for dozens of cycles.
