Blasting Abrasives

White Aluminium Oxide

It consists of pure alumina with no traces of iron, so it causes no oxidation of the blasted parts.

Characteristics of white aluminium oxide

  • It consists of pure alumina with no traces of iron — which is why it causes no oxidation of the blasted parts.
  • It is used mainly by dental technicians and in the food industry, but also in aerospace applications.
  • A high-performance aggressive abrasive that keeps its angular shape even after repeated use.
  • A recyclable abrasive and particularly hard (8-9 on the Mohs scale).
  • Thanks to its high hardness and its angular shape, it can reach SA-3 roughness very quickly.
  • Depending on the grain size and the blasting pressure, we can achieve a wide range of surfaces with the roughness we want.
  • Working at constant pressure, we achieve an ideal surface with the right roughness for coating.
  • It is completely safe for people, unlike many other blasting abrasives.
  • It contains no silica, which is harmful to people.
  • It contains no toxic constituents such as heavy metals.
