Dust & Powder Filter Units

Filter units are used to extract and retain the dust generated in an enclosed workspace. The extraction fan forces the dust into the filter unit through suitable inlet ducts.

The dust is retained in the cylindrical cartridges inside the filter unit.

The air is freed of particles and other dust pollutants and is released clean into the environment.

Depending on the nature of the dust we use cartridges of different grades.

The size of the filter unit depends mainly on the volume of the room.

NOTE: If, besides dust, the filter unit also extracts other types of pollutant from the production area, additional suitable filters (e.g. activated carbon) must be installed at its outlet

The DCB/DCP dust extraction and collection filter units consist of the following parts and main components:

• The main filter chamber (with 1-32 pcs in a vertical arrangement) and the inlet port with a flow control damper (adjustable damper).
• The conical dust and abrasive collection hopper, with a hopper release mechanism and rubber wheels for easy moving and emptying.
• The extraction fan impeller chamber, with the clean air outlet port and the filter cleaning solenoid valve at the top.
• The electric motor, single-phase or three-phase depending on the filter unit model.
• The electrical junction and filter-cleaning automation box.
• The filters / cartridges on which the dust settles
• A compressed air supply pressure gauge with a regulator and a filter retaining particles and water.
• Solenoid valves for the controlled supply of compressed air to each filter.
• A buffer vessel maintaining adequate air pressure during the filter cleaning cycle
• Electrical panel. For units of up to 3 filters an electronic arrangement with output relays is used to activate the valves, while for units with more than 3 filters a PLC is used and the filter cleaning valves are controlled through its analogue outputs.
